Heat dome
After so many overcast or rainy summers in Seattle, the June 2021 heat dome (107 degrees) was shocking and scary.
The heat dome settled over the city an upside-down fish bowl filled with fever stopping the breeze and trapping the people. In our old house, the heat lived large. It spread its tentacles over the floors lounging on counters and yellow chairs. We moved upstairs while it lasted huddled around the only A/C two to a bed and sleeping bags spread. When we crept the steps to get more water air pawing fervently as we passed the heat felt like it was pushing us down bobbing for apples with no apples there.
Felt like I was experiencing being "under the dome". Wow
