My five year-old showed me a picture he was drawing of a blonde woman with long black eyelashes. I asked who she was. She is a juggler. She’s juggling some things. These are her daughters, he said leading me to two more pictures. The ladies in these drawings are surrounded by so many objects in the air around them circling and falling and landing on the grass. They are juggling fruit, wedges of watermelon and fun things, like a jack-o-lantern and even (what are those?) some medium-rare steaks. Their outstretched hands are frozen in place. The objects arc over them like a rainbow filling both pages with more things than a woman should ever really juggle.
