Thank you, Elizabeth. I think it was that line that made me want to come back to the poem again. Children have such a cool way of seeing the potential for beauty in stuff that we cast off.
Thank you, Thomas! I was just commenting on Lisa that I wish I had a picture of the bird to share. There is something so amazing about what children often do with materials that are considered trash. The art teacher at my younger kids’ school is great at gathering materials to repurpose as sculpture.
Yes. I sometimes noticed this with my kids when they were younger. I suppose Blake would have said it’s because they haven’t yet been burdened with the everyday.
Thank you, Tara. You’re reminding me of the lists a friend and I used to send back and forth (it was technically “Thankful Thursday” but we ended up sending them on Fridays and Saturdays a lot). Sometimes finding 10 things to list was a push, so we both (more and more) relied on listing the little things that struck us throughout the day. It made me so happy each time. (Also, I love that we have matching pictures 💛.)
Beautiful. Here's to recognizing what really matters.
Thank you, Mike! 😊
Gorgeous. Tender. Just right. ❤️
Thank you, Mary. This is a special poem for me.
"The beauty in waste, knotted to make something new." 💛

What a fantastic day!
😊
Love your world!
Thank you, Mom 😊.
Just perfect. Loved it.
Thank you, Francesca 💛. I love this one too—it made me happy to work on it.
Ah, this is so lovely.
Thank you, LeeAnn. It was very relaxing to work on it again 💛.
Beautiful :)
Thank you, Lisa! I wish I had a picture of the little wire bird to show you all (I’m hoping it’s still somewhere in my daughter’s treasures).
Really like the way this unfolds, Margaret, and the images - especially the bird at the end. 👏

“It was the wide rainbow, purple as urgent as the red.” This is just exquisite, Margaret.❤️
Thank you so much, Mary. It was so soothing to return to this one and work on it.
I love this Margaret. Beautiful.
Thank you, Lindsey! 💛
So lovely. We should all write one of these everyday. And I have such a similar picture of my daughter, it’s a little eerie!

The wonderment of joy.
