This is so random and specific and wonderful, Margaret Ann -- just like the order of the abc's!
(And of course I'm completely curious about what/why your husband was getting sworn in to/for. Which is none of my business and simply makes the poem more random and specific and wonderul.)
Thank you, Elizabeth! I wanted to try @Kortney Garrison’s challenge but I didn’t know what to write about, so I seized on the first thing I thought of (Dan’s texts that had been entertaining me all day, especially since he went to the ZOO 😁).
Love this fun and loving poem. Agree with Ann Collins...."hidden layers of beauty in an "ordinary" day.....the gifted sight of an engaged and wonderful poet.
Ah you've inspired me again Margaret. First the villanelle and now a abecedarian! I wrote one this afternoon 🙌🏻 I'm so pleased with it 😁 hehe. Thanks for introducing me to this form!!

hidden layers of beauty in an “ordinary” day and in the way you and your husband stay connected while apart—how delicious! 💛

Camping seems like the perfect time--so much material, and some of it so random to regular life :).
